R4i Gold 3DS Plus User Instructions

What you need：
1.A magnet that triggers the sleep mode of your device (if using a folding style device)
2.A R4i Gold Plus flashcart
3.The latest release of SafeB9SInstaller
4.The latest release of boot9strap (standard boot9strap; not the devkit file,not the ntr file)
5.The latest release of Luma3DS (the .7z file)
6.The Homebrew Starter Kit（starter.zip）
 

nstructions：

1.Insert your SD card into your computer,copy SafeB9SInstaller.firm to the root of your SD card and rename it to boot.firm,copy the contents of starter.zip to the root of your SD card
 
 
2.Create a folder named boot9strap on the root of your SD card
 
3.Copy boot9strap.firm and boot9strap.firm.sha from the boot9strap .zip to the /boot9strap/ folder on your SD card
 
4.Reinsert your SD card into your device, power on your device
 
5.Use the magnet to find the spot on your device where the sleep sensor is triggered
This step is not needed on the old 2DS (which has a sleep mode switch)
6.Open the shell of the flashcart and push the switch to the left side,which is marked as“N”, just as below:
 
7.Power off your device, insert your R4i Gold Plus flashcart into your device, place themagnet on your device to trigger the sleep sensor
8.Hold (Power) + (Start) + (Select) + (X) for several seconds, then release the buttons
It may take a few attempts to get this to work because the positioning is awkward
If the exploit was successful, you will have booted into SafeB9SInstaller
 
9.Wait for all safety checks to complete, when prompted, input the key combo given toinstall
boot9strap
 
10.Once it has completed, force your device to power off by holding down the power button, your device will only boot to the SafeB9SInstaller screen until the next section is completed
11.Insert your SD card into your computer, delete boot.firm from the root of your SD card ,copy
boot.firm from the Luma3DS .7z to the root of your SD card
 
12.Reinsert your SD card into your device, power on your device , your device should have booted into the Luma3DS configuration menu (If you get a black screen, follow this troubleshooting guide)
 
13.Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
Show NAND or user string in System Settings  
14.Press (Start) to save and reboot, if you get an error, just continue the next page
 

Finalizing Setup

What you need：
1.The latest release of Anemone3DS (the .cia file)
2.The latest release of hblauncher_loader
3.The latest release of GodMode9
4.The latest release of DSP1
5.The latest release of FBI (the .cia and .3dsx files)
6.The latest release of Luma3DS Updater (the .cia file)
7.setup_ctrnand_luma3ds.gm9
8.cleanup_sd_card.gm9

Instructions：
1.Power off your device, insert your SD card into your computer
2.Copy FBI.3dsx to the /3ds/ folder on your SD card
Create a folder named cias on the root of your SD card if it does not already exist
Copy hblauncher_loader.cia from the hblauncher_loader .zip to the /cias/ folder on yourSD card
Copy lumaupdater.cia to the /cias/ folder on your SD card
Copy FBI.cia to the /cias/ folder on your SD card
Copy DSP1.cia to the /cias/ folder on your SD card
Copy Anemone3DS.cia to the /cias/ folder on your SD card
 
 
3.Create a folder named payloads in the luma folder on your SD card if it does not alreadyexist
 
4.Copy GodMode9.firm from the GodMode9 .zip to the /luma/payloads/ folder on your SD card
 
5.Copy the gm9 folder from the GodMode9 .zip to the root of your SD card
 
6.Copy setup_ctrnand_luma3ds.gm9 and cleanup_sd_card.gm9 to the /gm9/scripts/ folder on your SD card
 
7.Reinsert your SD card into your device,power on your device
8..Launch the Download Play application
 
9.Press (L) + (Down) + (Select) at the same time to open the Rosalina menu
 
10.Select "Miscellaneous options"
 
11.Select "Switch the hb.title to the current app."
 
 
12.Press (B) to continue,press (B) to return to the Rosalina main menu
 
13.Press (B) to exit the Rosalina menu,press (Home),then close Download Play,Launch the Download Play application, your device should load the Homebrew Launcher
 
 
14.Launch FBI from the list of homebrew
 
15.Navigate to SD -> cias
 
 
16.Select "< current directory >".select the "Install and delete all CIAs" option, then press(A) to confirm
 
 
17.Press (Home), then close Download Play
 
 
18.Launch the DSP1 application, once it has completed, press (B) to self-delete the appand return to the home menu
 
 

CTRNAND Luma3DS

1.Launch GodMode9 by holding (Start) during boot
2.If you are prompted to create an essential files backup, press (A) to do so, then press (A) to continue once it has completed
 
If you are prompted to fix the RTC date&time, press (A) to do so, then set the date and time, then press (A) to continue

3.Press (Home) to bring up the action menu
 
4.Select "Scripts…"
 
5.Select "setup_ctrnand_luma3ds"
 
6.When prompted, press (A) to proceed
 
7.Press (A) to unlock SysNAND (lvl1) writing, then input the key combo given
 
 
8.Press (A) to continue
 
9.Press (A) to relock write permissions
 

Backup SysNAND

1.Press (Home) to bring up the action menu
2.Select "Scripts…"
 
3.Select "Backup SysNAND",press (A)
 
4.Press (A) to continue
 
5.This process will take some time
 
6.Press (A) to continue
 
7.Hold (R) and press (B) at the same time to eject your SD card
Insert your SD card into your computer
Copy _nandmin_###.bin from the /gm9/out/ folder on your SD card to a safe location on your computer
Make backups in multiple locations (such as online file storage)
This backup will save you from a brick if anything goes wrong in the future
Delete _nandmin_###.bin from the /gm9/out/ folder on your SD card after copying it
Reinsert your SD card into your device

Cleanup SD Card

1.Press (Home) to bring up the action menu
2.Select "Scripts…"
 
3.Select "cleanup_sd_card"
 
4.When prompted, press (A) to proceed
 
5.Press (A) to continue
 
6.Press (Start) to reboot

You can now use Luma3DS Updater to update your Luma3DS to the latest version just by opening it and pressing (A).

This is not the same thing as a System Update; it just downloads and extracts the newest Luma3DS files.

This will only update the Luma3DS files on your SD card. If you boot your device without an SD card, it will use the version you placed in CTRNAND.
You will now boot Luma3DS CFW SysNAND by default.

You can now hold (Select) on boot to launch the Luma3DS configuration menu.

You can now hold (Start) on boot to launch the Luma3DS chainloader menu (note that the Luma3DS chainloader menu is only displayed if there is more than one payload detected).

You can now hold (Start) + (Select) + (X) on boot to dump the ARM11 bootrom(boot11.bin), the ARM9 bootrom (boot9.bin), and your console unique OTP (OTP.bin) to the /boot9strap/ folder on your SD card (note that this will not have any kind of prompt or message).

You can now press (L) + (Down) + (Select) while the system is booted to open the Rosalina menu integrated into Luma3DS. For a full list of Rosalina features, please see the Luma3DS v8.0 Release

R4i Gold 3DS Deluxe Edition (For 3DS MultiRom) User Instruction

Step 1. Format Micro SD card in FAT32. Download the newest Wood R4 kernel , and extract the “.rar” file to get two files below, and then copy them to the ROOT of the MicroSD card.
 
Step 2. Insert the Micro SD card(Preloaded wood kernel) into the “Blue Card” and Running.

3) Press button “A” to power down or “Home” to return to main menu.

Step 3. Download the “Firmware 4.0b2” , extract it and copy the “Launcher.dat” file to the ROOT of the SD CARD (for 3DS). And then insert it into the 3DS SD CARD SLOT.

Step 4. Launching “R4I GOLD 3DS DELUXE” mode (repeat every power cycle).

Wait for 5-8 seconds for system tore boot into “R4I GOLD 3DS DELUXE” mode

Step 5. Copy some 3ds roms to MicroSD card (Not the SD card for 3DS).

Insert the MicroSD card(pre-loaded 3ds roms) into your R4iGold 3DS Deluxe(the 3DS card) and then insert it into the 3DS SLOT.
The 3ds games list will show on the top screen after you press "KEY_SELECT"

The KEY_Left and KEY_Right can be used for selecting game icon, can move 1 step by each pressing.

Pressing KEY_A to confirm your choice. Then the game icon you selected will display , and you can press KEY_A to enter to play the 3ds game

Press KEY_HOME to save to exit paying 3ds games.

Press "OK" to confirm to exit 3ds game playing.

If you need turn to another game after exiting game, you should press KEY_SELECT , and press KEY_B to exit selecting.

You can press KEY_SELECT again to choose other 3ds game.
